May 10, 2010- Rutledge held its General Membership Meeting and Annual Picnic at the home of Banks & Carol Glover in Newnan.   Despite the cold and rainy weather, a large group of supporters, clients and their families came out to enjoy Rutledge's annual picnic.   Fourteen clients received attendance awards.  Three staff members received service awards.  Also, President of the Board Lamar Wright announced the 2009-2010 "Community Supporter of the Year" and the "Consumer of the Year" recipients. Ms. Lynn Pulliam was selected as the "Community Supporter of the Year" and Mr. Jason Wood was awarded the "Consumer of the Year".   Entertainment was brief due to the weather, but nonetheless was outstanding.  Rutledge client, Mr. Tommy Spriggle sang a beautiful solo which warmed everyone's heart.  Also, Mr. Banks Glover played a few songs which some of our clients enjoyed dancing to.   The nominating committee announced its selection for the 2011 Board of Directors.  These nominations will be voted on at the next general membership meeting which will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010.
